Emaar Pakistan, Paragon Constructors sign Rs1.5bn contract

KARACHI: Emaar Pakistan, the subsidiary of global property developer Emaar Properties PJSC, signed Rs1.5 billion contract with Paragon Constructors for the construction of mega structures in Crescent Bay in Karachi, a statement said.

The contract, which involves enormous construction and uplift work to be carried out in the 108 acres Crescent Bay, was signed by Emaar Regional CEO Dr Dia Malaeb and Aftab Siddiqui, Managing Director, Paragon, on Friday.

ISLAMABAD: CDA fails to acquire land for new sectors

* Over 18,898 acres of acquired land are still in possession of old owners
* Ownership of 10,879 acres has not been transferred in favour of CDA

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has failed to get possession of land acquired for developing new sectors, as presently over 18,898 acres of acquired land are still in possession of old owners and ownership of 10,879 acres has not been yet transferred in favour of CDA in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and Rawalpindi revenue records due to the negligence of the civic body officials.
