Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has sent the lists of 24 illegal housing schemes to Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Governor State Bank of Pakistan and Revenue Department.

In these lists, the development authority proposed that the OPF should display the list at Pakistan’s foreign missions, while the State Bank should link grant of loans to the housing scheme after getting NOC and the Revenue Department should ban the sale and purchase of land in these housing schemes.

According to details, Director Town Planning Aftab Jamshed has sent the lists of illegal housing societies under a directive of the Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif.

The authority has urged the OPF, Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Revenue Department, WAPDA, SNGPL, PTCL and other departments to compel the owners of housing schemes to get NOC before starting the constructing activity. app
