Islamabad: 7th Avenue to be linked with Murree Road
The administration of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to link 7th Avenue with Murree Road and the Planning Wing of the authority has started survey in this regard.
According to sources, with this step the traffic burden on Zero Point and Convention Centre Chowk would be lessened after the construction of the link.
The CDA Roads Directorate has forwarded the case to the Planning Wing for the allotment of new road and the survey started by the wing to be completed within a week. Under the scheme, besides Zero Point and Club Road, the traffic moving to Islamabad from Rawalpindi would get another alternative route.
CDA’s officials told this agency that a suggestion to link 6th Avenue to Murree Road on the same pattern is also under consideration.
