ISLAMABAD: Construction of houses in sectors G-14 & 15 banned
Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has prohibited all construction related activities in parts of sectors falling under the G-category for two months, said a press release issued here on Thursday.
It added that under the directives issued by Sub-divisional Magistrate Faridud Mustafa, construction of houses had been banned in Sector G-15/3, Sector G-14/1,2 and 3.
It elaborated that it had come to knowledge of the authorities that some people were constructing houses in villages located in these sectors, which had been acquired primarily for building houses for federal government employees.
“The order shall take effect immediately. Action against violators will be taken as provided under the law,” the statement concluded.
Meanwhile, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Ilahi has ordered expansion of roads in Sector I-9 and I-10.
During visit to the sectors, he directed concerned officials to start work on the project without any delay. “No concentration was given to the sectors in the past. Now, these would be made akin to other sectors of the capital,” he vowed.
He also issued directives to officials to improve condition of the parks located in the sectors. Besides this, he laid emphasis on repairing the faulty sewerage system of the sectors immediately.
He took notice of increasing encroachments in the area urging the authorities to remove them. Daily Times
