LAHORE: New construction techniques discussed
SPEAKERS at the lectures organised by the Pakistan Engineering Congress (PEC) unveiled the novel approach to construction engineering adopted by the modern world which has evolved through the technical expertise and engineering innovations.
Addressing the audience at the PEC building, Professor Dr Syed Ali Rizwan, delivering a lecture on ‘High Early Strength Grout Systems’ explained the binding and holding strength systems resulting through this methodology and explained its application in major structures, foundation engineering and substantiating material strength.
In his lecture titled ‘Sustainable Construction in Germany and Europe’ Dr Thomas A Bier explained different modes and methods adopted by the engineers of the developed countries such as Germany and the European Union.
He explained the evolution of engineering methods through innovative application and perfecting the art and science of building structures.
Dr Musarrat Khan Afridi, chief guest on the occasion, commended the informative and enlightening efforts of the speakers and encouraged research work in all technical disciplines to stay up to date with the rapidly evolving scenarios. PEC President Husnain Ahmed and General Secretary Ch Ghuilam Husain were also present.
